The Colombian Association of Mixed Martial Arts (OCAMM) has added several dates to its 2016 national circuit calendar, beginning on September 11 and continuing on October 2 and November 12. The events will take place as the official national amateur championship for Colombia and will factor in to the national OCAMM rankings.
Academies and clubs across the nation are invited to register and be a part of OCAMM. OCAMM is officially supported by COLDEPORTES, the national government department of sports for Colombia. This partnership has opened the door for significant development of MMA within the South American nation.
Via the official OCAMM website, the national MMA regulator stated: “If you’re not part of this great OCAMM family, we invite you to start activities from your club, academy or gym. OCAMM is the only state MMA entity Endorsed by COLDEPORTES and is internationally recognized by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF). The purpose of our organization is to involve all persons performing activities relating to education, training and popularization of amateur mixed martial arts, to perform organized processes and with the institutional support offered by our institution.”
